Position Summary, Requirements, and Qualifications

The Department of Marketing at the College of Business, Northern Illinois University (NIU) is seeking to create a pool of eligible part‑time instructors in the global marketing area, and to meet its instruction needs from time to time.

Earliest start date would be 1 / 1 / 2024, and typically will always be at the start of fall or spring semesters. The earliest end date would be 5 / 15 / 2024 for the current academic year, and typically will always be at the end of subsequent spring semesters.

The part‑time instructors in the global marketing area teach 3–6 credit hours per academic year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The part‑time instructors in the global marketing area develop and teach one to two 2–3‑credit hour undergraduate and graduate global marketing classes covering topics such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, Buyer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communication, Principles of Global Marketing, Global Marketing Management, and Global Marketing Strategy.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• MBA from an AACSB accredited university and at least 5 years of recent relevant experience.
