We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Specialist who will be responsible for designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and training staff on correct operating procedures. The ideal candidate will oversee network operations, server management, software development, troubleshooting technical issues, and contribute to business continuity and cybersecurity initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Software Implementation & Modernization
- Identify and evaluate software solutions to improve workflows and efficiency
- Plan and execute software implementation projects from start to finish
- Configure systems based on business needs (users, roles, permissions, workflows, templates, integrations)
- Migrate data from old tools (Excel, legacy systems, etc.) to new software
- Test new systems, fix issues, and optimize settings after go-live
- Create simple user guides, checklists, and documentation
User Training & Adoption
Train staff on how to use new software tools effectivelyProvide one-on-one and group training sessionsAct as the "go-to person" for questions about the new toolsGather feedback from users and recommend improvementsGeneral IT Support
Set up and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other hardwareManage user accounts and access (email, software logins, etc.)Monitor and troubleshoot network and connectivity issuesCoordinate with external IT vendors or service providers when neededSecurity, Backups, & Continuity
Apply basic cybersecurity practices (antivirus, updates, access control, secure passwords)Help set up and monitor data backup solutionsSupport business continuity planning related to IT and critical systemsKnowledge, Experience, and Special Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly desirable3-4 years of relevant IT experienceCertifications in Microsoft 365 and / or IT management (such as Microsoft Certified : Enterprise Administrator Expert, ITIL) are highly desirableAbility to train end users, provide clear technical guidance, and create documentation or user guidesExcellent organizational, communication, problem solving, and time-management skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
