Workshop supervisor - Full Time - Bahrain

We are looking for a Workshop supervisor to join our Services_INMEC team in Bahrain.
Purpose of the job - to provide supervision and support of workshop overhaul, repair, onsite installation and commissioning services for rotating electrical machinery.
Your main tasks and responsibilities :
- Lead and provide constant project overviews on rebuilds of rotating electrical machines.
- Team member in producing and managing standard technical work instructions on rebuilds of rotating electrical machines.
- Help with development of workshop tooling and planning for growth in rebuilds of rotating electrical machines.
- Ensure that the team meet all Safety related KPIs for observations and Safety Walks.
- Support the implementing of HSEQ systems (including Sulzer safety initiatives) and supporting HSEQ Manager.
- Provide support with reports and quotations, where needed for the targeted business.
- Actively meet with and coordinate with the leading hands as well as with the Service Centre Manager.
- Planning and scheduling of jobs in coordination with SCM and wider team.
- Develop and share best practices for the repair of rotating electrical machines in Bahrain.
- Support and coach the workshop team to improve their technical abilities.
- Actively solicit parts, manufacturing, service, predictive diagnostics, and performance enhancing products to allow maximum utilization of Sulzer’s Bahrain facilities in rebuilds of rotating electrical machines
- Provide technical support for customers in relation to repairs of their equipment that are within Work In Progress (WIP).
- Participate in weekly WIP meetings in the SC to update status of jobs.
- Provide support to the deputy Electrical Duty Holder for activities in the test bay area.
To succeed in this role, you will need :
Tradesperson in Electrotechnology Min.10+ years technical experience with electrical rotating equipment services;Middle East experince will be an advantage;Strong communication and time management skills;A technical background in electric rotating machinery repair, DC and AC, any voltage;Knowledge on mechanical repairs of rotating electrical machines;Experience testing motors up to 11kV, including operating the test board and maintaining the safety standards expected in Sulzer;Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and writtenDemonstrate technical capability to supervise in a repair workshop environment;Able to train workshop personnel;Supervisory experience.Our team is looking forward hearing from you!
