General Manager - Hawar Resort by Mantis
We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead our prestigious resort operations in Hawar Resort by Mantis, Bahrain. As the primary strategic business leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving financial success and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the property's environmental and conservation efforts, ensuring sustainable practices are embedded across operations. This includes protecting local ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, reducing environmental impact, and engaging both guests and local communities in conservation initiatives that align with the brand’s sustainability values.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve short-term and long-term business goals
- Drive overall hotel performance, including revenue management, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency
- Lead and inspire a high-performing executive team, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture
- Oversee all departments, including rooms, food and beverage, sales and marketing, finance, and people & Culture
- Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including owners, corporate leadership, and local business partners
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, local regulations, and industry best practices
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences and operational processes
- Act as the face of the hotel, representing the brand at industry events and within the local community
- Drive sales and marketing initiatives to increase market share and revenue
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to inform strategic decisions
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a General Manager role or similar at an international brandKnowledge of sustainability and eco-tourismBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related fieldProven track record of financial acumen, including expertise in sales, pricing, and revenue managementStrong leadership abilities with a talent for developing and mentoring high-performing teamsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrategic thinker with the ability to communicate plans effectively and drive their executionEntrepreneurial mindset with a knack for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunitiesOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong relationshipsDemonstrated ability to drive change and implement operational efficienciesProficiency in Arabic and English; additional languages are a plusExperience in luxury or upscale properties preferredStrong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisive actions in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in hotel management software and financial analysis toolsBenefits
