Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend practical solutions to prevent incidents and accidents.
- Monitor daily operations and ensure that employees follow approved safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction sessions for workers and visitors.
- Assist in implementing company HSE policies and procedures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events and prepare accurate reports.
- Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and consistently.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and other HSE-related documentation.
- Support emergency preparedness activities and help promote awareness of safety best practices.
- Work closely with site teams to encourage continuous improvement in workplace safety performance.
Requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer, Safety Officer, or in a similar health and safety role.
- Good understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Experience conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when addressing safety concerns.
- Good report-writing and documentation skills.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent qualifications will be considered an advantage.
