Located in the heart of Bahrain, Sumosan Bahrain combines fine dining with an exclusive lounge experience, offering guests an elegant yet vibrant atmosphere.

Position Summary

The Senior Waiter (Lounge) is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience in Sumosan’s lounge area. This role requires a professional with proven lounge and premium beverage service experience , excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. The Senior Waiter will act as a role model for the service team, ensuring a seamless, high-energy, and personalized experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional, and engaging welcome to all guests in the lounge area.
  • Deliver impeccable table and beverage service , maintaining Sumosan’s premium standards.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the lounge menu , signature cocktails, spirits, wines, and Japanese beverages.
  • Assist in training and guiding junior waitstaff, ensuring service consistency and guest satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guest needs, offering tailored recommendations and upselling premium products.
  • Maintain a lively yet elegant atmosphere, ensuring guests enjoy a refined lounge experience.
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a luxury lounge, bar, or high-end restaurant environment.
  • Strong understanding of premium beverage and cocktail service , including sake and Japanese drinks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Professional appearance, confident presence, and polished demeanor.
  • Team player with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to remain composed and efficient during busy service periods.
  • Flexible schedule, with availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
