Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety and productivity of equipment and all production employees staffed on the production department, as well as plant security. Additionally, the production supervisor positions is accountable for ensuring that production data are reported correctly and that the production schedule is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to the designated shift
• Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours
• Enforce all Health & Safety programmes and processing procedures
• Operate all fibreising equipment, filtration system, cooling tower, compressors, sieving machine
• Troubleshoot plant equipment and process problems
• Report equipment problems using the work‑order system
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol
• Understand and follow the plant start‑up and shut‑down procedures
• Prepare daily production reports, downtime, number of bags, total weight, amount of spare changes, total amount of production, total working hours and ensure accuracy
• Train new employees and coach existing employees
