Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for an Occupational Health and Safety Officer based in Manama, Bahrain. The officer will ensure that all safety regulations and standards are implemented and adhered to across the company. Responsibilities include monitoring workplace safety, conducting risk assessments, implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing training to staff on safety protocols. Collaboration with management and employees to promote a culture of safety is also a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Occupational Health, Health & Safety, and Workplace Safety procedures
• Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) principles and practices
• Certification in NEBOSH or equivalent safety standards is a requirement
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols
• Experience in the shipbuilding or maritime industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred
