Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Riffa for a PYP (Primary Years Program) Coordinator. The PYP Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and assessment of the IB Primary Years Program, ensuring alignment with International Baccalaureate standards. The role includes collaborating with teaching staff to support curriculum development, organizing professional development activities, and fostering a learning environment that emphasizes inquiry‑based education. The PYP Coordinator will also serve as the liaison between school leadership and the IB organization while promoting ongoing reflection and development of the program for the benefit of students and the school community.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the IB Primary Years Program (PYP) and curriculum development strategies
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and team‑building skills
• Effective communication, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities
• Experience in coordinating professional development and teacher training
• Commitment to fostering a learner‑centered, inquiry‑based educational environment
• Proficiency in working with diverse cultural groups within an international school setting
• Previous experience as a PYP Coordinator or similar role; IB certification is an advantage
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
