Euro Motors is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customs Clearance Officer to join our team in Sitrah, Bahrain. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing investment firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient customs clearance processes for a variety of goods, adhering to all relevant Bahraini regulations and company policies. This role specifically requires Bahraini nationality due to legal requirements for customs clearance procedures in Bahrain.
Responsibilities
- Receive all documents related to customs from the Sales Admin department.
- Make copies of all customs documents and submit them to the accounts and sales admin departments.
- Obtain permission for shipping goods from the shipping agent.
- Secure approval documents from the Ministry of Trade and the Environment.
- Handle all customs clearance procedures.
- Clear goods from customs and port.
- Coordinate between the company and customs regarding the clearance process.
- Manage communication and follow-up letters between the company and customs.
- Coordinate with transport companies for the transfer and loading of vehicles and spare parts.
- Coordinate with stevedoring workers at the port.
- Coordinate between shipping agents and the company.
- Coordinate with customs regarding the export process.
- Follow up on the return of customs fees.
- Coordinate between customs and customers regarding exports.
- Keep all supporting documents and refer to them during audits.
- Provide the accounts department with supporting documents for all amounts spent on customs clearance.
- Claim all expenses incurred during the customs clearance process.
- Follow company policies.
Qualifications
Bahraini nationality (essential due to legal requirements).Proven experience in customs clearance within Bahrain.Strong understanding of Bahraini customs regulations and procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Knowledge of import / export documentation and processes.#J-18808-Ljbffr
