Job Objective
To plan, deploy, and support IP Telephony and Voice solutions for enterprise customers, with a primary focus on Avaya platforms including Call Center, IVR, and Unified Communication systems. The IPT Engineer works under the supervision of the Delivery Support Manager and is responsible for end-to-end project execution—covering site preparation, system integration, customer acceptance, and post-deployment support. The role ensures timely, high-quality service delivery that aligns with customer requirements and organizational standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategic : Contribute to the design and implementation of IP Telephony architecture based on customer business needs. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of Avaya platforms and related voice technologies to support evolving project requirements.
- Financial : Ensure timely project completion to support revenue recognition. Avoid rework and material wastage by adhering to implementation standards and verification processes.
- Operational : Deploy and configure IPT Systems (e.g., Communication Manager, Aura, Contact Center, IP Office). Install and integrate components like IVR, Call Recording, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), and Voicemail platforms. Support enterprise UC solutions including SIP trunking, remote worker setup, softphones, and desk phone provisioning. Conduct pre-implementation checks and post-installation testing to validate functionality. Coordinate with field technicians for cabling, hardware mounting, and power requirements. Manage system backups, software upgrades, patching, and license activation. Prepare project documentation, including configuration reports, network diagrams, and customer handover files. Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal teams during project lifecycle. Provide user and admin training on voice systems when required. Support troubleshooting and fault isolation during warranty or early-life phases. Coordinate with Delivery Support Manager, Field Teams, and Project Managers to align schedules and dependencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, Data Center) during integrations.
