About the Role :
Our client is looking for a dedicated Yacht & Boat Service Engineer / Mechanic to join their marine services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance and repair of yachts and boats, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems on yachts and boats.
- Perform inspections and diagnostics to identify issues in engines, propulsion systems, and onboard equipment.
- Assist in the installation of new systems and upgrades as per client specifications.
- Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and regulations during all service activities.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and project timelines.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to service work, including maintenance logs and performance analysis.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with clients regarding technical issues, service updates, and recommendations.
- Participate in sea trials and vessel commissioning to verify the performance and safety of systems.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in marine engineering and maintenance.
Key Skills and Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine services, with hands-on experience in yacht and boat maintenance and repair.Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in mechanical systems, engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics used in yachts and boats.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to marine vessels.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as needed.#J-18808-Ljbffr
