Duties

• You will provide electrical engineering and design services to all activities and tenants for a broad range of facilities.
• You will represent the NAVFAC Regional Office in conferences with project stakeholders and collaborates with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
• You will actively engage on teams formed to improve processes or revise policies in any area of CI.
• You will proactively pursue completion of training required by the CI Community Management Plan and the employee's Individual Development Plan (IDP).

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional ELECTRICAL ENGINEER 1) Leading production of facilities electrical engineering design packages, including design drawings, plans, specifications and design-build requests for proposal; 2) Reviewing shore facilities electrical engineering design submittals to provide subject matter expert acceptance recommendations to officials; 3) Providing shore facilities electrical engineering design consultation services to officials during construction; and 4) Mentoring junior electrical engineers

Relocation and recruitment incentives up to 25% may be authorized. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week).

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

The Office of the Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) limits the number of Bahrain based DoD personnel accompanied tours. Dependent entry approval from Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command is required for all accompanied tours prior to extending the final job offer and prior to issuing Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders. Accompanied tours are not guaranteed. Tour will be 18 months unaccompanied for 24 months accompanied.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

Several vacancies may be filled.

A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
