Role Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in steel structures, architectural shade systems, and ETFE skylights. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on innovative design challenges and is passionate about delivering technically sound and visually striking structural solutions.
You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and technical coordination of a wide range of architectural structures, including lightweight steel frameworks, tensile fabric shades, pergolas, and ETFE roof systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze steel structures, shade systems, and ETFE skylight structures using industry standards and best practices
- Develop and review structural drawings, connection details, and material specifications
- Perform structural calculations for permanent and temporary load conditions (wind, live loads, etc.)
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to align structural design with architectural intent
- Ensure compliance with international codes and project-specific requirements
- Provide technical input on innovative materials like ETFE and tensile membranes
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)Minimum 2+ years of experience in structural design, with proven experience in shade structures, ETFE systems, and steel designProficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, Statica, RFEM, Tekla, or similar)Strong skills in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, and / or Tekla for 2D / 3D structural detailingFamiliarity with ETFE systems (pillow, single-layer, and cable-supported designs) and their structural behaviorKnowledge of membrane structures, lightweight materials is a plusExcellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teamsEngineering License is an advantageHow to apply
