Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in supporting infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and cloud infrastructure security. Must be a Bahraini citizen. Technical Proficiency : Strong understanding of server and network configurations, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and storage solutions. Networking Skills : Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security. Cloud Technologies : Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience in managing cloud infrastructure. Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools : Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to ensure uptime and performance. Scripting and Automation : Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve infrastructure-related issues efficiently. Documentation Skills : Ability to create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations and processes. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Proactive and Energetic : A proactive approach to work, with the energy and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting and managing IT infrastructure, with a focus on optimizing performance and ensuring reliability. This role requires a proactive and energetic individual who is eager to learn new things and can effectively collaborate with various teams and IT Infrastructure & Technology Manager to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure systems, including on-premises servers, Storages, networks and cloud services.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation of infrastructure components meeting departmental service levels.
- Manage and configure firewalls, switches, and routers to maintain network security and efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure needs and challenges.
- Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to services.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments / Projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements to infrastructure systems.
