Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Steward! We\'re seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual to play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our bustling kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, food preparation spaces, and back-of-house facilities
- Operate dishwashing machines according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of pantries, refrigerators, and freezers
- Ensure proper storage of operating equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware
- Adhere to current health and hygiene regulations in all kitchen areas
- Sort, count, and prepare operational equipment as required
- Collect and dispose of garbage from all kitchen and back-of-house areas each shift
- Handle chemicals and equipment safely as per manufacturer instructions
- Contribute to cost control through energy conservation and careful use of resources
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent service
Qualifications
Understanding of food safety requirements and hygiene standardsProven track record in cleaning, customer service, or hospitalityHigh standard of grooming and presentationAbility to work evenings and flexibility to work across a 7-day rosterPhysical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy itemsStrong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organizationAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentCustomer-focused mindset with a commitment to supporting the overall kitchen operationsAdditional Information
