About the Opportunity

An international hospitality group is seeking motivated Commis Chefs (Levels 1, 2, and 3) to join their culinary team in Bahrain. These positions offer excellent opportunities to grow your career, gain international exposure, and work in a multicultural, high-end hospitality environment.

Roles Available

  • Commis 1 – Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards, maintain kitchen logs, assist with training and coaching of junior team members, and ensure food safety compliance

  • Commis 2 – Support senior chefs with food preparation, mise en place, cleanliness, and stock rotation. Deliver meals to the highest standards in line with kitchen guidelines

  • Commis 3 – Assist with food preparation, mise en place, and maintaining hygiene. Support the smooth running of the kitchen and follow instructions from senior chefs

    Key Responsibilities (across all Commis roles)

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with established recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety at all times (in line with Bahrain regulations)
  • Ensure proper use and care of equipment and kitchen tools
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimise wastage
  • Assist in daily mise en place and ensure stations remain clean and organised
  • Requirements

  • Experience :
  • Commis 1 : minimum 3 years’ related experience

  • Commis 2 : minimum 2 years’ related experience
  • commi 2

  • Commis 3 : minimum 1 year’s experience
  • commi 3

  • Valid Food Handling Certificate (up to date)
  • Culinary training / apprenticeship and Sanitation Certificate – advantageous
  • Strong English communication skills and basic numerical ability
  • High standards of grooming, professionalism, and teamwork
