Job descriptionDevelop creative and functional interior design concepts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects in alignment with client needs and project objectives.Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, material selections, and 3D renderings using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate interior design with structural and MEP systems.Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather measurements and evaluate space planning requirements.Produce detailed drawings, layouts, furniture plans, and construction documents for implementation.Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), finishes, materials, and lighting designs appropriate to the project's style, function, and budget.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful execution from concept through completion.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate delivery and installation of design elements.Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.Monitor site execution to maintain design intent, quality standards, and resolve on-site issues.Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in interior design or interior engineering, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and completed projects.Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, and color theory.Knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and building codes.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.Attention to detail and a high level of creativity and problem-solving ability.Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
