Acting Head of Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, & HR Strategic Business Partnerships | Group Human Resources
Job Purpose
The responsibility of the role holder is to lead the strategic direction, growth, and operational execution of the Workplace Banking business, while proactively establishing and sustaining key external relationships and partnerships. This includes building strong institutional relationships, expanding market reach, optimizing portfolio performance, and delivering tailored banking solutions to corporate clients and their employees. The role also ensures alignment with the Bank’s overall strategy and Retail Banking’s specific product KPIs, maintaining fully optimized partnerships that deliver sustainable value to the end user.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development, Strategic Growth & Partnerships
- Identify, target, secure and forge strategic partnerships with potential key external stakeholders, corporations and government entities, including but not limited to auto dealers, educational institutions, and property developers.
- Lead employee acquisition strategies for partner entities and manage the negotiation and onboarding of strategic partnerships in line with business and compliance objectives.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the Workplace Banking portfolio across assets, liabilities, and cross-sell opportunities to grow the Workplace Banking portfolio.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities for loans, credit cards, savings, investments, and insurance products.
- Drive workplace-specific campaigns and onboarding events (on-site activations, webinars, etc.) to increase customer acquisition and product penetration.
Client Relationship & Servicing
Serve as the senior relationship manager for key partners, maintaining close engagement to understand needs and resolve issues proactively.Ensure the consistent delivery of a superior customer experience for both strategic partners and their employees, reinforcing long‑term engagement and satisfaction.Act as the internal advocate for strategic partners, driving enhancements to products, services, and processes to better align with partner needs and business objectives.Foster strong external supplier relationships and public relations to ensure long‑term, sustainable commercialized relationship.Operational Excellence
Oversee the end‑to‑end onboarding process for partner entities and their employees, ensuring seamless integration with core banking systems.Work closely with Group Operations, Group Compliance, and Group IT to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant onboarding and servicing procedures.Establish tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor the performance of all key initiatives.Market Awareness & Continuous Improvement
Stay informed on emerging trends in workplace banking, embedded finance, financial wellness, and digital partnerships.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives using performance data and stakeholder feedback, while continuously proposing improvements and innovations to maintain a competitive position in the market.Conduct in-depth market research and trend analysis to identify strategic opportunities, enhance product offerings, refine business strategies, and support data‑driven decision‑making across Retail Banking initiatives.Analyse market trends and research new opportunities to guide strategy and enhance portfolio competitiveness.Evaluate new suppliers and product categories to enhance portfolio competitiveness and drive growth.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or in any other subject or equivalent is required.Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or in any other subject is preferred.Minimum of 3‑4 years of experience in Retail or Corporate Banking, with a strong focus on relationship management, sales, or partnership development in the same or similar function.Location : Manama, Capital Governorate, Bahrain
