Role Overview
The Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of workshop activities, ensuring that production runs efficiently, projects are completed on schedule, and quality standards are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and organisational skills to effectively supervise teams and maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise daily workshop operations covering furniture, upholstery, curtains, and wallpaper production.
- Manage production schedules, allocate resources, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Coordinate with the design and project management teams to translate client requirements into production outputs.
- Monitor and manage inventory, procurement, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal use and maintenance.
- Implement and enforce workplace health, safety, and compliance standards.
- Develop and train workshop personnel to enhance skills, efficiency, and performance.
- Prepare regular reports and provide operational insights to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in workshop management within furniture, upholstery, or interior fit-out sectors.Proven track record of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.In-depth knowledge of production processes, materials, and technical specifications related to interiors and soft furnishings.Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to read, interpret, and implement technical drawings and design specifications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
