Location : Chestnut Bakery & Lunchroom, Bahrain

Position Summary :
The Kitchen Commis supports the culinary team in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to Chestnut Bakery & Lunchroom standards. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about food, eager to learn, and motivated to grow in a professional kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities :
- Assist chefs in daily food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Follow recipes, portioning, and plating instructions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed.
- Support with mise en place and ensure readiness for service.
- Handle and store food products properly to maintain freshness and safety.
- Ensure all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP) are followed.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries in an organized and safe manner.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Experience :
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent is an advantage.1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, bakery, or café preferred.Basic knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and hygiene standards.Passion for learning and developing culinary skills.Skills :
