First Motors is seeking a reliable and organised Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Sitrah, Bahrain. This is a Full-Time position within a company that has a proven track record of success and a global vision for expansion. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, supporting our activities across industries such as automotive, healthcare, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, dedicated to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Unpacking Sea / Air consignments cases from outside & bringing the spare parts inside the Warehouse & binning the parts.
- Receive the parts picking list, pick the parts from the bins and verify the part numbers and quantities against the picking list.
- Tick the quantities picked from the bins on the picking list, and in case part not available round the quantity and indicate as N / S.
- Initial the entire picking list after then supply the spare parts to the parts delivery counter.
- Parts should not be supplied without picking list.
- Properly arrange the parts in the shelves.
- Sales Area & Warehouse should be kept clean & tidy.
- Cross-check the Picking List with the invoices & any discrepancy should be informed to the Storekeeper.
- Picking & checking the inter department parts transfers.
- If necessary also work as a Driver for the Department.
- Periodical Spare Parts stock checking.
- Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with all customers, both on the phone and in person.
- Participate in all training programs that are made available.
Qualifications
Proven experience working in a warehouse or a similar logistics role (Preferred).Good organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory management.Basic literacy and numeracy skills for handling documentation and stock records.Familiarity with standard warehouse practices, equipment, and safety procedures.A valid forklift licence would be considered a significant advantage.Seniority level
