The Technical Sales & Service Engineer (TS&SE) is responsible for content and quality of performance evaluation reports, technical proposals, after‑sales support, internal knowledge sharing, and on‑site technical service at client sites.

Responsibilities

Core assignments are performed independently for both office and on‑site tasks. Special assignments are determined by the technical manager and may require close collaboration across departments (e.g. troubleshooting, pilot plant testing).

• Perform and fully document catalyst reload calculations and prepare technical proposals with the Account Manager.
• Perform and document calculations for spent catalysts and recommend further optimization of reloads.
• Receive and handle operating data to prepare Performance Evaluation Reports.
• Maintain frequent client contacts for technical services and timely troubleshooting.
• Support and supervise technical tasks performed by Senior Technical Service Engineers.
• Participate in sales and technical meetings with customers.
• Improve training material for new TS&S employees and operators.
• Act as trainer for new TS&S employees in alignment with the technical manager.
• Contribute to mid‑long term development tasks and knowledge sharing.
• Present at customer training and relevant conferences.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance during loading and start‑up in accordance with Topsoe standards.
• Gather unit information on‑site for optimal performance evaluation and troubleshooting.
• Prepare trip reports and suggest procedural improvements.
• Prepare information for client meetings (bids, presentations, performance evaluations, catalyst life follow‑ups).
• Contribute to improvement of internal start‑up procedures based on lessons learned at site.
• Participate in the preparation and execution of training programs for basic routing tasks and catalyst calculations.

Qualifications

Strong technical background in refinery processes and technologies, with the ability to specialize in at least two applications such as Distillate Hydrotreater (DHT), Kerosene Hydrotreater (KHT), or Naphtha Hydrotreater (NHT), and become a subject matter expert in one. Proficient in calculations for both conventional and non‑conventional applications (Tail Gas, FCC post‑treatment, dewaxing). Skilled in preparing technical proposals, performance evaluation reports, and delivering presentations. Collaborative mindset supports knowledge sharing, training, and operational development. Understanding of the sales process and refinery integration ensures effective contribution to both technical and commercial objectives.
