Zain Group is offering Code : Data Scientist in Manama, Bahrain. CODE is an 18-month, tech-based employment program, focused on fostering the development of the skills and competencies needed to equip Bahrain’s youth in the technological field.

The program will include :

18 months employment within Zain Bahrain’s Technical Departments.

Online Courses & Certifications.

Department Rotations.

Mentoring & Coaching.

Duties & responsibilities

• Assist the team in undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis
• Support in building models to address a variety of business problems
• Present and display information using different data visualization techniques
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any other related field.

Bahraini nationals.

University graduates.

Exceptional academic record is a plus.

Job related professional certificate(s) is a plus.

Job related experience up to 3 years is a plus.

Age between 21-27 years old.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Fresh graduate within 3 years of graduation.

Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset

Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) preferred

Fluent in English; strong Arabic skills is preferred.

Competencies :

Proven ability to work with others successfully within a team.

Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

Ability to liaise effectively and coordinate successfully with internal and external stakeholders and other third parties.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with broad, general responsibilities, but with specialist data analytics subject skills.

Strong understanding of the operational workings of data analytics elements.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and time management skills
