Objective : Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and supporting audiovisual (AV) equipment and systems across classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, event venues throughout the campus, and remote university sites. The role ensures high-quality audio and visual experiences for students, faculty, and guests, supporting the university’s commitment to seamless digital learning and communication.
Key responsibilities :
- Install, operate, and support AV equipment for events, meetings, and lectures across the campus and remote sites.
- Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting.
- Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on AV systems.
- Manage AV inventory and ensure equipment readiness.
- Coordinate AV needs with staff and assist with setups.
- Collaborate with the IT team on AV upgrades and projects.
- Deliver basic user training on AV tools.
- Support out-of-hours events and assist with scheduling when needed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Basic qualification or diploma in IT, media technology, or a related field.Experience operating and maintaining AV systems.Familiarity with AV software and Windows / Mac environments.Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.Physically fit for equipment setup and transport.Able to work independently and flexibly, including weekends and evenings.Strong organization, communication, and teamwork abilities.Familiarity with Zoom, Teams, or hybrid teaching platforms is a plus.Understanding of network-based AV systems is desirable.
